⁵⁷ before your wickedness was revealed? Now you are regarded with contempt by the daughters of Edom and all her neighbors and by the daughters of the Philistines—all these people despise you. ⁵⁸ You must suffer the consequences of your lewdness and your loathsome abominations, says the Lord.

⁵⁹ For thus says the Lord God: I will deal with you as you have deserved, you who despised your oath and broke the covenant.
